We finally "finished" the
kitchen a month or
two ago with the addition of the kick plates under the cabinets. Since that took
18 months or so, it is only reasonable I wait a while to update the blog.
It's not the most impressive kitchen in the world, but it's what we could do without moving an entire bathroom, stairwell, or losing a bedroom. So some (fabulous cell phone) before/afters...

You can just see the fridge in the right hand side of this photo. The
kitchen didn't HAVE a fridge before - here's the wall where it is now...
There's a small pantry on the hall side of the fridge (opposite where I am standing in the top "now" photo, visible on the left of the (off kilter) "now" photo below).

As a bonus, remember that door (three photos up) to the
back porch. It's gone, as is the door to the stairs leading upstairs to it's left. Here's a preview...

In summary (besides that I need better photos to document our "new" kitchen):
tell me about the toddler proofing you have going on your cabinets there--is that a wipe board to deflect interest from the cabinet?? also, very nicely done! I am so impressed by anyone who can do this sort of thing.
