A woman on a message board I follow was nice enough to tip her mailman (I've never even met our mailperson, so sorry if you're out there, no tip for you) and this is the thanks she got.
I'll stick with tipping my hairdresser (and a special tip to daycare for the holidays).
that mail man note is horrifying to me. horrifying! I don't tip cash for the mailman or garbage men here because they are federal/city employees who make far, far more money than our household income...not that i am not appreciative of their service, but we just aren't in a position to buy them gift cards. if we got the newspaper, i would perhaps think about giving lottery tickets to the delivery person.
